Enjoy Winter Sun On A Caribbean Cruise
With the festivities of Christmas and the New Year behind you, a cruise is the best thing to keep you going through the long winter months? Miami
Most Caribbean cruises leave from Florida, and Miami is a popular destination to embark from. How about flying into Miami early and giving yourself extra time to explore this exciting city? Roatan
After leaving Miami, it’s time to begin your cruise and after a day on the water Roatan is your first port of call. Located off the coast of Honduras, the island has spectacular beaches and visitors will find numerous excursions suitable for passengers of cruise ships. At the Monkey Park you can cuddle a cheeky chimp and pose for a polaroid picture, while the Sherman Arch Iguana Park provides a glimpse of some of the other residents of this island. If you’re feeling adventurous why not take a zip-tour through the island’s rainforest canopies? Or simply take a leisurely horse-back ride around some of the key attractions.
Costa Maya
At the Costa Mayan coast in Mexico, Mayan ruins await. The Kohunlich, which dates back to 200BC, is incredibly well-preserved. Three public plazas, three palaces and three residential areas are amongst the ruins which are located around the border with Belize. Once you've visited the main attractions, take a dip in Cenote Azul in Balacar or just head back to the main resort where you can swim with dolphins, scuba dive or visit the famous Tequila Beach Club.
