Why Wouldn't You Get A Non Shedding Cat?
If you're among those cat lovers that want to take care of a kitty but don’t wish to clean up constantly dropping fur, these breeds of non-shedding cats may be just the thing to suit your needs.
Non Shedding Kitty Breeds
When it comes to non shedding kitty breeds, one of the most popular is the Cornix Rex. They're undoubtedly very unique looking cats as they do not possess any hair whatsoever, or perhaps their coat is extremely short that it is almost as though they've got none at all.
A Cornix Rex has a really distinctive body and head that is made up of a pair of massive ears which are presented on a somewhat small ball-shaped head. The fur is really close to the body skin and is very smooth. The face is composed of higher cheekbones with depressed cheeks. The body is curved and hasfairly slender limbs.
In terms of personality they are very mild-mannered house animals, plus they are very affectionate and also people-oriented. They have a rather elegant appearance but are constantly friendly and also excellent with youngsters. You will need to remember however, that although this is one of the most well-known of non shedding cat varieties, also, since it does not shed, it's still not really hypoallergenic.
This is why individuals with allergy symptoms to fur, you'll probably still have a reasonable possiblity to become irritated by all these breeds of feline.
A Devon Rex is another example of non-shedding cat that is also acknowledged around the world. Comparable to the Cornix Rex, this sort of cat features a physique where fur readily twists as well as twirls. Odd traits which enhance a group whose personality and devotion can be as odd as the form they can be found in.
It's really one of the favored cat breeds. They have a tendency to average anywhere from six to nine pounds. The fur differs a lot from one particular cat to another, and can range between a virtually shaggy mop of free waves to a slim nearly suede-like coat in others which could even leave a selection of their skin nearly bare.
Having a pet cat that does not shed may be truly divine, because they are not only far better for those who have allergies but they don't screw up your house with clumps of fur too.

What to consider before adopting a cat/kitten?
Hi! I'm considering adopting a cat/kitten, and I was wondering what some of the cons were to owning a cat or kitten. How often do they throw up hairballs? How messy are they? Are they usually moody? I'd like to know what people should consider before getting a cat, because I'm not sure if getting one would be a good decision.
I think cats can make wonderful pets because they do require less training than dogs. However, don't assume you can leave the cat home alone most of the time or that you don't really need to give it love.
I think you need to understand that having a pet is like having a child, so not only do you need to provide your pet food, water, and shelter, you also need to give them lots of love and attention. If you are rarely home, and just want to have a pet for the sake of having a pet, then I'd suggest you not to have a pet. But if you think you are willing to commit to an animal (especially cats) for 15 to 20 years of your life, love them and take good care of them, then it will be great if you can provide a homeless cat a loving home.
So, once you decide to have a cat, I'd suggest you to go to the shelter and find a cat instead of going to the pet stores. For one, it is cheaper. For other benefit, please see my answer for another person who asked a similar question.

Now, to answer your question, cats don't always throw up hairballs if you brush them regularly. I brush my short hair cat twice a day, and I have not seen him throw up hairball since I adopted him 3 months ago. Also, cats are in general very clean animal, if you clean their litter box regularly (I also do it twice a day), they are pretty well trained and won't miss.
Finally, not all cats are moody, and that's why I'd suggest you to read my other answer, and it will tell you how to select a good cat that fit what you are looking for.
Sorry for the super long answers...hope this helps you!! =) Good luck hunting!
